WHAT: For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as lownas 16. For the Freeze Warning, hard freeze with temperatures asnlow as 21 expected.

WHERE: Portions of central, south central, and southwest Louisiana and southeast Texas.

WHEN: Until 10 AM CST Sunday.

IMPACTS: Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected ski

is exposed to these temperatures. Frost and freeze conditionsncould kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damagenunprotected outdoor plumbing.

Instructions:
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, anhat, and gloves.nnKeep pets indoors as much as possible.nnTake steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.nnTo prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them tondrip slowly.

* At 338 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Belle River to Jeanerette, moving south at 15
mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Morgan City, Franklin, Patterson, Jeanerette, Berwick, Bayou Vista,
Cypremort Point, Stephensville, Belle River, Baldwin, Ellerslie,
Patterson Memorial Airport, Glencoe, Lydia, Cote Blanche Island,
Sorrel, Amelia, Charenton, Pierre Part, and Weeks Island.
Special Weather Statement
At 327 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Sorrel, or near Jeanerette, moving southwest at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
