Several days of heavy rainfall across portions of the I 10 corridornhave saturated the soils through this area. Several rounds ofnwidespread showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop from Friday morning through Saturday afternoon. Storms could produce verynheavy rainfall which may result in areas of rapid onset flooding.
WHAT: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
WHERE: Portions of Louisiana, including the following parishes,nEast Cameron, Lafayette, Lower Iberia, Lower St. Martin, Lower St.nMary, Lower Vermilion, Northern Acadia, Northern Calcasieu,nNorthern Jefferson Davis, Southern Acadia, Southern Calcasieu,nSouthern Jefferson Davis, St. Landry, Upper Iberia, Upper St.nMartin, Upper St. Mary, Upper Vermilion and West Cameron andnsoutheast Texas, including the following areas, Hardin, Lower Jefferson, Northern Orange, Southern Jasper, Southern Newton,nSouthern Orange and Upper Jefferson.

IMPACTS: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,ncreeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.nFlooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
